EMES Christmas Clothing Drive in Second Year

This is the second year that our elementary students have collected warm children’s clothing for a Christmas giving project. A parent in the Keister school district began the clothing distribution program to help financially stressed families, many of whom are recent immigrants.
On retrieving the donated supplies on Dec. 7, the organizer “said that it couldn’t have come at a better time as they are working on holiday gifts for students,” reported Jen Stoltzfus, elementary school office administrator. “She had tears in her eyes when she spoke of the need for the children and was very grateful.”
EMES students are grateful they have extra to share and a chance to support other children in the local community.
