EMS Theater Presents: Godspell
Eastern Mennonite School theater department invites guests to the musical Godspell, February 10-12.
The musical is based on the Gospel of Matthew with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and a book by John-Michael Tebelak. EMHS students will make up the ensemble cast with music that was made popular during a lengthy Broadway run that began in 1971.
The EMHS production is directed by Joy Anderson; assistant director is Leah Huyard, and technical director is Mark Gornto. The pit orchestra will be directed by Nick Gardner, EMS band teacher. Choreography by Bin-Shin So, local and international dance instructor. Promotional artwork by Eleanor Yoder ’24.
Tickets
The show will run Friday and Saturday, February 10 and 11 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, February 12 at 3 p.m. in the school’s auditorium at 801 Parkwood Drive, Harrisonburg. Snow dates are February 17-19.
