Color us happy! Color Run Success at EMS
During homecoming weekend, Eastern Mennonite School proudly hosted its first-ever color run!
This colorful event served as a fundraiser to finish and furnish the new Gathering Space addition so it’s ready for students and teachers to use after construction. Proceeds helped outfit the serving kitchen, purchase interior tables, and set up audiovisual equipment for the gathering area. With an expected completion in early spring, we can hardly contain our excitement for what’s coming next!
The celebration showcased our K-12 community spirit that brought students across the divisions together. Older students assisted with color distribution, while two of our cross-country athletes led stretching exercises for participants before the fun run for many of our EMES and EMMS students and their family members!
It was a magical moment amidst soccer games and campus-wide activities. We suspect Ms. Archer might still have a hint of blue in her glasses.
Because of successful fundraising through grants, supporters, and this event, the interior of the gathering space has basic furnishings – thank you to everyone who helped make that possible! The final fundraising phase includes extending the learning to outdoor spaces — the courtyard hardscape and picnic tables for the front patio. If you’d like to support learning at the Gathering Space, it’s not too late! Join our cause now and help turn our vision into reality, creating an inspiring indoor/outdoor space for everyone!
