A Taste of Eastern Mennonite:
You’re invited to our Open House and Family Visit Days! 

Anthony Blosser is a new face around Eastern Mennonite Middle School.  However, his Eastern Mennonite School relationship is seasoned with several generations of family connections including his father Gregory Blosser ‘05, grandfather Floyd Blosser ’72, and late great-grandparents Glendon ‘47 and Dorothy ‘49 Blosser.  Even so, the prospect of stepping into a new place was a big decision.

“I wasn’t sure what to expect,” Anthony said when he remembers visiting EMS for the first time during a tour with his family and admission counselor, Abigail Cook. “I was really excited to come because of my cousins Lincoln and Tyler Blosser and also hearing my dad talk about the school.”

“Anthony was really quiet, yet curious!” Abigail remembers when meeting him.  “I encouraged them to come back for a family visit day as well.  Our visit days give students an opportunity to shadow current students and attend classes. The parents have a chance to meet school administrators, attend chapel, ask questions, and meet other prospective families.”  Anthony remembers that the visit is what helped him make his decision to attend EMS for the following school year.  

2024-2025 Open House and Family Visit Days announced!

Kindergarten Open House

Start the process early if you are interested in Kindergarten for next year.  Spots fill up quickly! Registration is open November 1-December 31, 2024. 

Families can visit ahead of time to watch our kindergarten in action during open house times on Friday October 11, Tuesday October 15, or Monday October 27 at 9am. 

“Nothing is better than Kindergarten at EMES!” Abigail Cook says with a laugh, “f I could go to kindergarten with Ms. Mast and Ms. Williams, I would. There is always something exciting happening when you walk through the door, and it often involves food preparation for their morning snack!

Middle and High School Tours and Open Houses

Prospective students and their families are invited for a slice of the Eastern Mennonite experience by attending an open house during the year with an opportunity to shadow a current student, tour the building, and talk with administrators. 

Dates for open houses are October 25, November 4, January 22, February 18, and March 28 at 8:15am for the 2024-2025 school year.

Private tours are available with advanced notice to work around families’ schedules.  Phone calls and video calls are also offered as a way to find out more about Eastern Mennonite.
