Seniors Celebrate Impressive College Acceptances

This year, our high school seniors have made us proud (yet again!) with an impressive array of college acceptances. These students have demonstrated exceptional dedication and versatility, participating in a wide range of extracurricular activities such as sports, orchestra, theater, band, choir, and various academic and service clubs. Their commitment extends to academics and beyond, with many taking Advanced Placement, college, and dual enrollment classes—all while maintaining a positive and enthusiastic spirit and having a lot of fun!

A unique aspect of the EMHS is the dedicated support provided by Jodi Nisly Hertzler, who is one of our high school english teachers, poetry club sponsor, senior class sponsor, and part-time College & Career Counselor. Hertzler plays a pivotal role in guiding students and their families through the next steps of their educational journey, offering personalized support whether they are considering a gap year, community college, four year college or aiming for Ivy League institutions. The list of colleges accepting the EMHS seniors this year is diverse and impressive, including prestigious institutions such as Cornell University, Emory University, and Princeton University, alongside many others across the country, such as Appalachian State University, California’s UC campuses, and Virginia Tech, to name a few.

The school community is deeply grateful for the hard work and dedication of Jodi Nisly Hertzler, the seniors, and their families. This support system has been instrumental in reaching this significant milestone in the students’ academic careers.
