Eastern Mennonite Middle School's
Summer Camp
Eastern Mennonite School (EMS) is excited to provide enrichment opportunities for students through a new summer camp program. Instructors will consist of EMS faculty, staff, and coaches, or specially selected instructors chosen by EMS. These middle school summer camps are open to everyone, and are designed as a day camp serving Harrisonburg, Rockingham, Staunton, Waynesboro and beyond in the Shenandoah Valley. Students will have fun, relax, and be highly engaged by doing hands-on experiential learning!
Who: Students entering 6th, 7th, 8th or 9th grade
What: Options for half-day or full-day summer camps, running Monday through Thursday
When: Morning courses from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm; Afternoon courses from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm, with a designated time from 11:45 am to 12:15 pm for drop-off. Full-day students will pack a lunch and eat from 11:45 am to 12:15 pm. The weeks of summer camp are:
- Monday, June 30 - Thursday, July 3, 2025
- Monday, July 14 - Thursday, July 17, 2025
Where: Held on the EMS campus, with some courses including field experiences.
Cost: Summer camp costs $150 for each class for the week. For example, if a student takes a morning class and an afternoon class the cost for the week will be $300. If an EMS student brings a friend who does not attend EMS, both students get 50% off.
Draft schedule:
- 8:00 - 8:10 am Drop-Off and Check-In
- 8:10 - 11:45 am Morning Class with a break for snack/recess
- 11:45 - 12:15 pm Lunch (bring a packed lunch) or Pick-Up & Drop-Off for half-day students
- 12:15 - 4:00 pm Afternoon Class with a break for snack/recess
- 4:00 pm Pick-Up
