Christmas Programs for All
The public is welcome to three Christmas programs on four different nights to celebrate the Christmas season at Eastern Mennonite School’s three divisions on December 3 (elementary), December 5 (middle) and December 10 and 12 (high school).
En primaria program is on Tuesday, Dec. 3, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The program and sing-along provides students with opportunities to sing, dance, play instruments, and share poetry and scripture. Audience sing-along is an important part of the evening. The program helps students learn stage presence, self-confidence, lots of good songs, and the importance of music as a gift to the community.
En middle school concert will take place Thursday, Dec. 5, beginning at 7 p.m., featuring middle school strings and band as well as jazz ensemble, which includes high school musicians.
En preparatoria Lessons and Carols program will be held Tuesday and Thursday, Dec. 10 and 12 at 7:30 p.m. The program will include full orchestra of student and professional musicians, and an 85-voice choir. The congregation will have opportunity to sing songs as well.
All of the programs are free and open to the public and will be held in the school’s auditorium. Access the auditorium in the EMS upper building at 801 Parkwood Drive. Traveling east off of Route 42, pass the building on the left and turn into the lane. Watch for signs. Proceed to the large parking lot behind the building.
