Even as the days grow shorter, there is the hope for spring!

Elementary students planted daffodil bulbs in early November on a bank in the sunshine, adjacent to the newly renovated building they will occupy beginning December 10.

Spotswood Garden Club donated 100 bulbs for the project in honor of their 100th anniversary year.

Glenna Graves, EMES grandmother, is a member of the club who generously supports EMES.

“Glenna clearly cares about teaching the pleasures of gardening to children and gets down and dirty with them!” says Lynette Mast, kindergarten teacher and past peacebuilding and gardening teacher. “We are so fortunate that she so generously shares her knowledge and time.”
