Join Virtual “Coffee Chats” and Open Houses for Grades 6-12
EMS invites prospective families to learn about the school for openings in grades 6 to 12 for fall 2021 through virtual “Coffee Chats” and Open Houses in the coming weeks. Marsha Thomas, admissions counselor, will host.
For Grades 6 to 8
Parents of children who will enter grades 6 to 8 in fall 2021 are invited to Coffee Chats March 11, April 22 and April 29 at 9 a.m. Virtual Open House events, which prospective students are encouraged to join, will be held March 24 at 7 p.m., and March 31 at 9 a.m. Register for the Zoom links. Coffee chat registrants will receive a certificate for Merge Coffee Company or Starbucks to use at any time. “Join us to explore how EMS does hands-on learning in middle school, music and the arts, STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math), outside time, faith practices, and how we foster social and emotional growth,” says Thomas.
For Grades 9 to 12
Parents of who will enter grades 9 to 12 in fall 2021 are invited to Coffee Chats March 25, April 1 and May 6 at 9 a.m. Virtual Open House events, which prospective students are encouraged to join, will be held April 14 at 7 p.m. and April 28 at 9 a.m. “Join us to investigate experiential learning, individualized attention, music and the arts, faith practices, and to learn how we help students develop critical thinking and life skills,” says Thomas. Register for the Zoom link. Coffee chat registrants will receive a certificate for Merge Coffee Company or Starbucks to use at any time.
For Elementary Parents
Eastern Mennonite Elementary School K-5 is filled to capacity for fall 2021. Parents who remain interested are invited to complete an inquiry form to remain informed of potential openings and for future academic years.
“We are proud to offer active classrooms, individualized learning, outdoor education, and music and the arts for K-5,” says Marsha Thomas, admissions counselor. “We focus on social and emotional growth in a faith-based school and are excited for the level of interest in the coming school year.”
