Sunset in Paris for 2023 Banquet
On April 28 the junior class held a banquet to recognize the senior class. The theme of the night was “Sunset in Paris.” This theme was accomplished by sunset colored lanterns, string lights, vines and a scale model of the Eiffel Tower made by Ellie Yoder‘24.
One of the many creative vehicles on display in the “arrival parade” in the auditorium parking lot came from Massanutten Adventures (owned by EMS parents).
The banquet was held at Cross Keys Barn LLC, located in Rockingham County, Va. The menu consisted of dijon chicken served with au gratin potatoes and french green beans catered by Radella Vrolijk. The dessert for the evening was macarons served in a variety of different flavors.
Senior parents hosted the after banquet party in the lower level of the barn with a Paris street theme. Parent servers dressed in appropriate attire, and students enjoyed more food, lawn games, a DJ and dancing.
“It was wonderful,” wrote Shaena Rogers, mother of Luke ‘23, who shared her photos of the party for this post. “We senior parents are going to miss our Parisian committee meetings! We had a blast together and it was a special way to close out our own years together!”
