I have been married to wonderful Jon Anderson for 33 years. We have Elizabeth Anderson Ochoa (EMS '06, currently a teacher at Bluestone Elementary), Laura Anderson White (EMS '08, currently a teacher in Richmond City Schools), Emily Anderson Walls (EMS '10, a historic preservationist and interior designer currently working with an architecture firm in Richmond), and Jack Anderson (EMS '17, currently a junior at University of Richmond.) Also part of the family, Henry Xie (EMS '18) currently a sophomore at VCU School of the Arts.

I am inspired by beautiful music (especially choral music), by nature, by literature and drama, and by deep and challenging conversation.
My dream for EMS
My dream for EMS students and faculty is that, following the teaching of Jesus and with the inspiration of His Holy Spirit, we learn to really hear and see each other, that we find ways to both stand on our convictions and genuinely love, serve, and try to understand the convictions of our brothers and sisters, even (especially!) when they differ from ours. This dream also includes deep and substantive scholarship and intellectual rigor and integrity.
